John Haas leading the liturgy of lament The service was organized in three movements: gratitude, lament, and hope.	Worshipers during the service We sang songs of God's faithfulness and the church's one foundation - Jesus Christ.	Pastor Chris Rea leading us in liturgy We are reciting the first Question and Answer of the Heidelberg Catechism, which has been an important feature of CRC worship, and is in the RCA as well.	The band leading the singing The songs emphasized our one foundation on Jesus Christ and God's faithfulness to us.
Scott DeVries emcees at the dinner During dinner a slide show of CotS history played. When the meal was concluding, Scott introduced members who wanted to speak. Scott would want you to know he and his son are the third and fourth generation of his family to be kicked out of the CRC.	Ryan Juskus speaking Ryan described his first connection with the CRC through World Renew (then CRWRC) in Africa and told a story that showed that having hope is life or death.	Marilie Coetsee speaking Marilie spoke of finding "her people" in the CRC when she moved to California and how "we're going to Hawaii and we're all going to die" is good news.	Dan Riemersma speaking Dan shared his family's long history in the CRC and how it has shaped and formed him.
Linda Hanstra speaking Linda shared her family's intertwined history with the CRC and RCA, and is glad we're are moving to something familiar and like family to her.	Pastor Chris "interviews" Linda Smyth Linda described discovering CotS and the wonderful message that she had a new beginning every day.	Linda Smyth speaking Linda conveyed the huge change in her life that Jesus has made and that Jesus can do anything.
